Deede Burgess is a lifelong resident of Spartanburg, South Carolina. She is the Chief of Staff for Monier Abusaft, Spartanburg County Council District 1. She runs the day-to-day operations for constituent services. This includes responding to requests for information or action; maintaining the Councilman’s calendars and ensuring that the Councilman is aware of relevant meetings and events.

Deede has been married for 21 years and is a mother of 4 wonderful children and 1 grandson. She is also the General Manager for a local AAU Travel Basketball program, the SC Spiders, since 2014. In her spare time, she loves watching her oldest son play basketball and spending time with her family.
